初中生优秀英语演讲稿篇1

Good day, ladies and gentlemen. It's a pleasure to have you all here today. I hope you'll find my speech enjoyable.

I'll be discussing the importance of learning from failure and mistakes and how it can help us become better. This lesson is meaningful to me and I'll explain why.

Recognize that experiencing failure is a natural part of life and something we all encounter at some point. There's no need to feel embarrassed or ashamed of it. Failing doesn't define you as a person. Anyone can experience loss, but what sets a great person apart is how they handle it and don't let it define them permanently.

Accepting that failure is a natural part of life can be beneficial in learning to turn it into something positive, like making "lemonade out of lemons." Viewing failure in this way can be a valuable experience, providing an opportunity to learn from mistakes, try again, and ultimately improve.

Thirdly, it is important to practice consistently in order to improve. Embracing failure and taking on challenging contests that push you beyond your comfort zone is crucial for personal growth. Being fearless and not allowing fear to hold you back is a key to success.

Stay strong and force yourself to grin and bear it. Offer congratulations or a handshake to the person who did a better job today. Share in their success sincerely, and your disappointment will fade. This is how future winners work their magic.

In conclusion, it's important to remember to be gracious in defeat. While it might be painful at first, it gets easier as you go along. The benefits of being a good loser are numerous – you'll be respected and feel fortunate to have learned so much.

Adversity and defeat are often the stepping stones to success in life.

  My family :

  Hello,!

我是刘东东,一名学生。我的家里有三口人——我爸爸、妈妈和我。

My father is a 40-year-old worker, and I consider him to be a diligent and hardworking person. Every day, he gets up early and spends more than 10 hours working. My mother is 38 years old and works as a laborer in a small factory. She is petite with big, expressive eyes. Her care and love for me are evident in the way she always buys books for me and encourages me to excel academically. Additionally, she takes my diet and well-being into consideration, showing her devotion as a mother.

I am 15 years old and I wear glasses. Reading is my favorite hobby, and I always read books after school. I also enjoy singing, with Jay Chou being my favorite singer because of his wonderful music. I am always open to making new friends, so if you are interested in meeting me, please feel free to reach out.

  Discovering Beauty

Beauty is abundant in life, encompassing both nature and our own hearts. When our hearts are full of passion and our souls are captivated, beauty reveals itself in every corner of the world.

Let beauty serve as our compass to self-discovery. There is a universal longing for improved physical appearance and attractiveness, regardless of age, size, or shape. True beauty, however, goes beyond surface appearance and resides within us. The kindness and love in our hearts are what truly enhance our lives.

Let's use beauty as our means of connecting with nature. As we stand at the foot of the hill, we observe beauty flowing gracefully in the clear river. At the peak of the mountain, we witness beauty emerging quietly from the east with the dawn. During the heat of summer, we see beauty twirling among the autumn leaves. In the chill of winter, we see beauty appearing with the arrival of spring upon the sprouts. We exclaim, "We love you, Nature!" Our voices echo throughout the mountains, while beauty resonates in our hearts!

Let beauty serve as the bridge between humanity and the natural world. In this harmony, beauty is a garden that is always in bloom and a flock of angels that is always in flight.

Beauty is a wondrous experience that engages the senses and brings fulfillment. It is like a revelation of life's sacred essence when life shows its true beauty.

Hey everyone! Can you recall your first English teacher? I’m sure many of you can. I certainly remember mine, Ms. Li. She was a fantastic young lady with charming eyes and a sweet voice. Without her, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Her excellent English skills made a lasting impression on me when she taught my first English class.

She was an attentive and patient teacher in her class. Her unconventional methods made the learning environment lively and engaging. She facilitated opportunities for us to practice speaking English by providing a variety of beautiful pictures as conversational prompts, organizing enjoyable games, and sharing fascinating stories. Learning from these activities was incredibly fun, and she also provided assistance to students struggling with English after class.

Gradually, I developed an interest in English, even though it was a new subject for me and I encountered many challenges while learning it. I often felt confused and considered giving up. Thankfully, Ms. Li came to my aid by providing me with strategies to overcome my difficulties. She guided me in daily English speaking practice and consistently offered words of encouragement to uplift my spirits. With her help, I gained confidence and the necessary tools to improve, including courage and effective learning methods.

I am thankful for the exposure to English and the chances to speak English in class. I'm not sure if I will have the opportunity to meet her again. All I can do is to offer my best wishes. I sincerely hope that she will be happy, healthy, and fortunate. Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to her: Thank you, Ms. Li. I appreciate you!

  A dream

When I was young, my mother used to share a poem with me that described the beauty of the grasslands: “tian cang cang, ye mang mang, feng chui cao di xian niu yang,” which roughly translates to "Clear skies, sweeping plains, the grass bowing before the wind, revealing grazing horses and sheep." This poem became familiar to me even before I started primary school.

My mother once visited a breathtaking grassland in Inner Mongolia 16 years ago. She was so captivated by its natural beauty that she said no words could do it justice. Her vivid description left a lasting impression on me, igniting a desire to one day experience the grassland's beauty for myself.

My mother and I were both taken aback when we visited the grassland a year ago. Expecting to see lush, tall grass and a picturesque view, we were disappointed to find only sparsely grown grass and a few horses grazing lazily in the distance. This scene was a far cry from the beautiful image I had envisioned in my mind. When I expressed my surprise to my mother, she too was at a loss for words. The disparity between the grassland of my dreams and the reality before me was truly shocking.

Deep in thought, I pondered over many things on my way home, seeking to find the answers I sought.

Now that I've reached an age where I can raise awareness and share my vision for the grasslands, I feel compelled to act. The overgrazing and extensive farming that have damaged the grasslands have robbed our homeland of its allure. However, I believe that with everyone’s effort, the grasslands can be restored to their former glory, allowing their true richness and beauty to shine once again.

Dear teacher and schoolmates,

I am excited to have the opportunity to address you all once again. Today, I would like to share my thoughts on the importance of the English language. English has become the universal language, widely used in communication, international trade, and on the internet. Embracing English has not only boosted my confidence but also brought me tremendous joy and satisfaction.

My journey with English began at the age of nine when my mother enrolled me in an English school. It was there that I engaged in activities such as playing games and singing English songs with other children. This exposure allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the language, igniting a passion for all things English.

My commitment to learning the language extends to my daily routine, where I immerse myself in English reading and even enjoy English cartoons. Furthermore, I make it a point to participate in the English corner during weekends, where I engage in conversations with diverse individuals. This has not only helped me build friendships but has also contributed significantly to my oral English proficiency.

Looking ahead, my aspiration is to explore different parts of the globe. I am eager to experience the world and connect with people from various backgrounds through the language that has become so dear to me.

Thank you for your attention.

I am eager to visit the Washington Monument in America as President Washington is my role model. Additionally, I have a strong desire to explore London, the birthplace of the English language. In particular, riding a bike through the grounds of Cambridge University would bring me great joy. My dream is to communicate with people around the world in English and share the wonders of China, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and Quanzhou. I understand that mastering a language takes time and effort, and I am confident that with continuous dedication, I will eventually become proficient in English. As the saying goes, "If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable." I am certain that as I continue to cultivate my love for the English language, it will, in turn, embrace me.
